This is the building's ADA apartment, a two bedroom near Cleveland Clinic in Fairfax, Cleveland, five to ten minutes on foot from the main campus. It is the unit we hold for guests who need an accessible layout for a treatment stay or a recovery.

The space
Two bedrooms, each with a queen bed, a closet with hangers and shelving and roller blinds that darken the room, plus two full bathrooms and a sofa that opens into a queen bed. Six can stay, which usually means a patient, a spouse and whoever drives in to help for a stretch. Floors are hardwood throughout and the living and dining area is open plan. The kitchen has quartz counters, a dishwasher, a stove and oven, a microwave, and cookware already stocked, with bar stools at the counter as a second place to sit and eat. Desk space sits in the main room for the paperwork a treatment stay generates.

The neighborhood
Fairfax sits alongside Cleveland Clinic's main campus. Most guests walk it in five to ten minutes, and a Cleveland Clinic shuttle stop is five minutes from the entrance for anyone who would rather ride. Meijer Fairfax Market, another five minute walk, is a full grocery store with a coffee shop and a gift shop. Case Western Reserve University is two minutes by car and University Hospitals five, if care is split between systems. The building has a private courtyard, which gives you level ground for a short outing when the sidewalk feels like too much.
