The space
Two people can keep different hours here. The bedroom has a queen bed, a walk-in closet, blackout roller blinds and a ceiling fan, and the door closes on all of it. The living room has a full-size sofa that folds out to a queen with its own wall-mounted TV, so one of you can watch something while the other sleeps. A kitchen island table with bar stools seats two for breakfast and works as a desk for the rest of the day, and there is a proper desk as well. Quartz counters, full-size appliances and hardwood floors run through the apartment. The bathroom is a single full bath with a glass-door shower, stocked with toiletries, a hair dryer and a clothes steamer.

The neighborhood
The main campus is close enough that one of you can go over for an appointment while the other stays put. Meijer Fairfax Market downstairs is a full grocery store with a coffee shop, which solves the evening when neither of you wants to go out. Case Western Reserve University is two minutes by car and University Hospitals five. Severance Hall is three minutes and Little Italy six, both of them a reasonable way to spend an evening that is not spent waiting.
