Housing for a 13 week travel nurse contract near Cleveland Clinic: a furnished one bedroom apartment across from the main campus in Fairfax, Cleveland, with a garage space included and a full grocery store downstairs.
The space
The bedroom is behind a door, which is the detail that matters when you are sleeping days. It has a queen bed, a walk-in closet with room for thirteen weeks of clothes, blackout roller blinds and a ceiling fan. The living room has a full-size sofa that opens into a queen bed for the friend who visits mid-contract, a wall-mounted TV and a desk for charting and licensing paperwork. The kitchen has quartz counters, full-size stainless appliances and a kitchen island table with bar stools, so cooking on a day off is worth the effort. Laundry is inside the apartment rather than down a hall or in a basement. The bathroom has a glass-door shower and stocked toiletries.
The neighborhood
The main campus is across the street, so a 6:45 start is a walk instead of a commute, and a Cleveland Clinic shuttle stop sits in front of the building when the weather argues otherwise. Meijer Fairfax Market downstairs covers the shop you did not have time for on the way home. Case Western Reserve University is two minutes by car and University Hospitals five, which helps if your agency moves you between systems partway through. On days off Little Italy is six minutes, Ohio City eleven, and the airport fifteen when you fly home between assignments.
Notes on the apartment
- Garage parking is one complimentary space in the residential garage
- On-site security works seven days a week, including through the night
- A rooftop courtyard and a fitness center are open to residents
