An extended stay at Nearwell is a furnished apartment you book by the week or the month, two minutes from Cleveland Clinic main campus. Most guests arrive with a date range that ends up changing. You extend by message, keep the same apartment, and never repack.
Treatment schedules rarely hold. Book the time you think you need, and tell us when that changes.
Several buildings sit directly across the street from main campus, with a shuttle stop out front. Across a month of appointments, two minutes each way gives you back hours.
Extensions are handled by a person. Message us and we will check what is open in your building. Most guests who extend keep the same apartment and never repack.
Full-size appliances and a washer and dryer inside the unit, because a month of laundry is a different problem than one night of it. Utilities and Wi-Fi included. Pets welcome.
Hotel or apartment
Most people start there. It is the phrase everyone knows for staying longer than a few nights. Here is how the two actually differ, and when each one wins.
Choose a hotel
Choose an apartment
An extended stay hotel gives you a room with a kitchenette and a front desk. A Nearwell apartment gives you a separate bedroom, a full kitchen with a full-size refrigerator and oven, your own washer and dryer, and a door that closes between you and everyone else.
Longer stays
A gym downstairs, a market in the building, a room that isn't yours. None of it changes a two-night trip. Over a month it decides whether you are living here or only sleeping here.
Several buildings have a private gym on site, so keeping your routine does not require a car or a membership.
Our main building near Cleveland Clinic has a full Meijer market on the ground floor. Cooking for a special diet gets a lot simpler.
On-site security seven days a week, including overnight, with secure building access for early appointments and late arrivals.
Some of this is building-specific. Tell us what matters most for your stay and we will point you at the right one.
Shared spaces
A month indoors is a long month. These are the shared spaces across Nearwell buildings. Which ones you get depends on where you stay, so tell us what matters to you and we will point you at the right building.

A grocery market downstairs
Cooking for a diet after surgery gets much simpler when the produce aisle is in the building.

A gym in the building
Keep the routine your physical therapist asked you to keep, without a car or a membership.

Room to work
Caregivers still have jobs. Travel nurses still have charting to finish.

A room that isn't yours
Somewhere to sit with a book when the walls start closing in.

A door you can close
For the call with the specialist, or the one with your boss.

Grass and open sky
A courtyard to walk laps in, for the weeks when walking laps is the assignment.

Evenings outside
A fire pit and heaters for the hours after visiting time ends.

Grills on the terrace
Cook a real meal for whoever came with you.

Your own balcony
Some apartments open onto one. Coffee outside without going anywhere.

Somewhere to go at 9 PM
A table, a screen and a couch, for the night that got long.
Mobility
Most of our bathrooms have a step-in shower instead of a bathtub, and several have a built-in seat. For someone recovering from surgery, or arriving with a walker, that one difference matters more than almost anything else in the apartment.
Needs vary and so do our buildings. Tell us yours before you book and we will tell you honestly which apartments work for you and which do not.
Or call and text (216) 202-5299.
Tell us when you arrive and how long you think you will need. We will show you what is open.
