Playhouse Square is three minutes from the door of this two bedroom apartment in downtown Cleveland, which makes it a simple place to build a weekend around a show. Two full bathrooms mean four people can get ready at once, and the free garage space means the car is off the street well before curtain.

The space
Two queen bedrooms, each with a TV, and a sofa that opens into a queen bed, which brings the total to six if you are bringing another couple to the matinee. Hardwood runs through the living and dining area with carpet in the bedrooms and tile in the kitchen and bathrooms. Both bathrooms are full baths, stocked with towels and toiletries. The kitchen has a stove, oven, dishwasher and the rest of it, including wine glasses, so dinner before the theater can happen here instead of in a restaurant line. The dining table seats four with four more at the counter, and there is a desk in the corner. The living area is open enough that nobody is stepping over anybody while three people are getting dressed.

The neighborhood
Playhouse Square is three minutes away and East 4th Street's restaurants are the same three, which is the usual order of a theater night in Cleveland. After the show the building's own restaurant is downstairs if nobody wants a second stop. Rocket Arena is two minutes and Progressive Field one, so a concert and a ball game can share a weekend. Cleveland State University sits three minutes east, Ohio City six minutes over the river. Cleveland Clinic's main campus is a ten minute drive, and Cleveland Hopkins International Airport is twelve if the theater weekend starts with a flight.
