The space
The bedroom closes behind a door, which matters when one person is asleep and the other is not. It holds a queen bed, a walk-in closet, blackout roller blinds and a ceiling fan. The living room has a full-size sofa that opens into a queen bed and its own wall-mounted TV, and a desk for calls and paperwork. A kitchen island table with bar stools sits between the kitchen and the living room, so meals do not have to happen on the couch. The kitchen has quartz counters and full-size appliances. The bathroom is a full bath with a glass-door shower, stocked with toiletries and a hair dryer. Hardwood floors run through the whole apartment.

The neighborhood
Getting through a Cleveland stay without a car is unusual, and this corner of Fairfax is one of the places it holds up. Meijer Fairfax Market downstairs is a full grocery with a coffee shop and a gift shop, so the weekly shop is a trip downstairs. The RTA HealthLine runs along Euclid Avenue, toward downtown in one direction and University Circle in the other, which covers the trips the shuttle does not. Cole Eye Institute is on the main campus opposite. Case Western Reserve University is two minutes by car, University Hospitals five, and Little Italy six when someone offers you a ride.
