A furnished studio for a clinical rotation in Cleveland, directly across from Cleveland Clinic's main campus. One room, one bathroom, a queen bed and a fold-out sofa, with a garage space and EV charging in the building for anyone who drove in.

The space
The room runs open from the kitchen through to the bed, with hardwood floors and oversized windows. A quartz bar with stools sits between the kitchen and the living area, and that is where most guests eat and where a laptop ends up. The kitchen is built for cooking rather than reheating, with counter space you can use for more than a kettle. Roller blackout blinds go dark enough to sleep through an afternoon after a night on the floor, and a ceiling fan runs over the bed. The sofa opens into a queen if a classmate or a partner passes through town. The bathroom has a glass-door shower and is stocked with toiletries, a hair dryer and a clothes steamer for the mornings you need a pressed white coat.

The neighborhood
Fairfax puts the main campus across the street, which is the whole reason to be here for a rotation. Taussig Cancer Center and Cole Eye Institute sit on that same campus, and so does Cleveland Clinic Children's. Meijer Fairfax Market is downstairs, a full grocery store with a coffee shop and a gift shop, so a late evening does not turn into an errand. Case Western Reserve University is two minutes by car for anyone splitting time between the medical school and the hospital, and University Hospitals is five. On a free day the museums of University Circle, Little Italy and Coventry are each a few minutes out, and the RTA HealthLine runs along Euclid Avenue into downtown.
