Beds for six, two full bathrooms and Progressive Field a short walk away: this two bedroom apartment in downtown Cleveland is built for a game weekend. Rocket Arena is two minutes out by car, and the building holds a free garage space for you.
The space
Two queen bedrooms, each with its own TV, and two full bathrooms, which is what makes six people workable on a Saturday morning. The living room sofa opens into a queen bed, so the third pair is not stuck on the floor. New plush carpet runs through the living room, dining area and both bedrooms, with tile in the kitchen and bathrooms. Windows along the living room look out over the downtown skyline. The kitchen has a full stove and oven, a dishwasher, coffee gear and enough pots and pans to cook a real breakfast before a noon first pitch. Four can sit at the dining table and four more at the counter on bar stools. There is a desk in the corner if somebody has to answer email between innings.
The neighborhood
Progressive Field is a minute away by car and most guests here walk it. Rocket Arena is two minutes, and East 4th Street, Playhouse Square, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and JACK Casino are all about three. Cleveland State University and the Wolstein Center sit a few blocks east. People staying for a game weekend tend to park once on Friday and leave the car alone until Sunday. Ohio City is six minutes across the river. Cleveland Clinic's main campus is a ten minute drive, and Cleveland Hopkins International Airport is twelve.
